Training in Implants and Prosthetics

Dr. Scott F. Bobbitt has been actively treating patients with Dental Implant Restorations since he completed a Nobelpharma Implant Prosthetics Mini-Residency in 1994. His surgical experience and subsequent implant surgical training (2007) allowed him to easily incorporate the surgical aspects of dental implant therapy into the mix of services offered to his patients. In 2017, Dr. Bobbitt was awarded Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI) after successfully challenging the oral examination process and presenting 200 of his personal cases for review. Dr. Bobbitt can perform many dental implant procedures including surgical implant placement, implant restoration, tooth extractions, bone and tissue grafting, and full mouth reconstruction.

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are a superb tooth replacement option that can replace any number of missing or damaged teeth. They’re placed directly in your jaw to act as a natural tooth root to support a natural-looking restoration. Implants are custom-designed to match the look and feel of your teeth, providing maximum stability and comfort.

Many patients can have their implants placed right away, but some may require a supplemental procedure to prepare their mouth for implant placement. For those patients, Dr. Bobbitt offers gum and bone grafting surgeries including sinus lift and ridge augmentation procedures to ensure quality results.

Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns are a natural-looking, long-lasting solution for the repair of more severely broken-down, fractured, or decayed teeth or for teeth that have been weakened by root canal therapy. Current technology permits Dr. Bobbitt to create amazing-looking restorations that are indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Dental bridges are an affordable, natural-looking tooth replacement solution for patients with missing teeth. They’re long-lasting, cemented in place, and customized to blend seamlessly with your smile. Unlike traditional removable dentures, these restorations don’t have to be removed daily and they’re designed to function just like your natural teeth.

Here at our Nashua office, we offer various types of bridges and crowns to ensure you receive personalized treatment that meets your unique smile goals.

Dentures

If you’re missing several teeth or an entire arch, dentures may be the solution you’ve been looking for. Dentures are a cost-efficient, comfortable tooth replacement option that provides all the benefits of a fully functioning smile. They restore your ability to eat and speak and help improve your overall appearance to prevent an aging complexion.

Our Nashua practice offers several types of dentures including complete, partials, and implant-supported dentures. With implant dentistry, Dr. Bobbitt can easily improve the fit and retention of loose dentures to help get your beautiful smile back.

Fillings, Inlays, and Onlays

Dental fillings are a long-lasting, durable restoration used to repair a decayed, cracked, or fractured tooth. There are two types of dental fillings–Silver amalgam metal fillings and tooth-colored composite fillings, which are used to reshape and strengthen a tooth’s structure after decay is removed.

An inlay or onlay is often the best option for restoring a tooth that suffers damage that’s too extensive to be treated with a regular filling, but not quite enough to warrant a full crown. Unlike dental fillings, onlays and inlays are indirect restorations. This means they require the assistance of a dental laboratory to create the restoration, similar to the fabrication of a crown and may require multiple visits to complete. An inlay or onlay may be preferable over the long-term because more natural tooth is left versus a full crown.
